UX Designer / Boston, MA
About Me
I grew up by the ocean on Cape Cod & now reside just outside Boston, MA. I graduated from UConn in 2017 with a bachelors in Biomedical Engineering & entered the biomedical research field.
However, I realized what I really loved most about engineering was the process of finding efficient and effective design solutions. This led me to grad school at Northeastern to study Digital Media & Usability/Development.
I then had the opportunity to begin my UX career, and spent 2 years at a quality management software company in Burlington, MA. After falling prey to the tech layoffs, I entered the freelance world, and have consulted for several different companies. I've gained experience in web design, and even got to design a print menu for one of my favorite local coffee shops.
Strengths
Design Thinking. With degrees in both digital media and engineering, I have developed a unique approach to problem solving.
Attention to Detail. My love for the diverse disciplines of art, writing, and science has allowed me to hone my attention to detail in many different ways.
User-Centered Mindset. Years of working in food service/hospitality has taught me a lot about human behavior through observation, and helps me center my design process on the user as a real person.
Prototyping. I am proficient in Figma for wireframing, designing, and prototyping.
Open to Work
I'm currently looking for full-time UX design roles in the Boston area.
I am also always open to freelance design consulting roles, and chatting with other design folks.
